The prebooster pump is required to ensure pressure is made available sufficiently fast and uniformly during DSC control under all ambient conditions - particularly at low outside temperatures.
When the pump starts operation, brake fluid is taken from the reservoir of the tandem master brake cylinder and pumped directly into the front axle circuit of the hydraulic unit.
The pump operates only during DSC control. It is activated directly by the control unit.
